Contacting your state legislators
Contacting your elected officials and informing them of your support for the PSEO program is an incredibly important aspect to our networking and support in the Legislature. Elected officials love hearing about issues that directly affect their constituents - so one of the best ways that you can support the PSEO program is by letting your representatives know that it is important to you.
See HERE to find the contact information for your elected officials. You can use the provided template below, or you can use your own message to send an email or leave a voicemail at their office.
“Dear REPRESENTATIVE/SENATOR LAST NAME,
My name is NAME and I am your constituent from HOMETOWN. I am in GRADE and I am attending HIGH SCHOOL NAME. This year, I am a PART/FULL time Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) student at PSEO INSTITUTION. The PSEO program is important to me because REASON 1 and REASON 2. I know that nonprofit organization People for PSEO is advocating at the Legislature to ensure the accessibility of the PSEO program for students all across Minnesota. I support these new laws and I hope you will help to make sure that future students at HIGH SCHOOL NAME will be able to have a good experience with the PSEO program just like I AM/DID.
